Bike Share Solutions
Promote sustainability and healthy lifestyle choices at your office, campus or community.
We started out in 2011 as a community-based bike share service in Ottawa's Hintonburg and Wellington West neighborhoods. As the city has evolved, so has our bike share service.
Right Bike is now working with clients like Carleton University, Algonquin College, QuadReal Property Group, Town of Mississippi Mills and the Carleton Place & District Chamber of Commerce to bring our signature purple bikes to their communities.
- A set of our famous refurbished vintage purple bikes with baskets
- A lock and key for each bike
- Maintenance coverage for each bikes
- The installation of a secure bike rack with a sign explaining the service
- Insurance covering the service

Ottawa Bicycle Academy
The place to learn bike mechanics.
Launched in 2014, the Ottawa Bicycle Academy is educational program within Right Bike dedicated to training in bicycle mechanics for people looking to start a career in the field or just to learn how to maintain their own bikes.
Over the past few years we have been working with organizations like the Ontario Ministry of Economic Development and Growth, Safer Roads Ottawa, Pathway Patrol and the Pinecrest-Queensway Community Health Centre to deliver customized bike mechanics training to specific groups.

We help Ottawa residents and visitors get around and stay healthy with friendly and affordable bike repairs, rentals, sales, events and bike share solutions. As a member of the Causeway Group of Social Businesses our mission is to offer training and supportive employment, providing a bridge to economic independence for those living with mental health challenges and other barriers to employment.
Right Bike was originally conceived by a business improvement association and a grassroots environmental organization as a means to build community and reduce congestion in Ottawa West. In 2011 the concept was brought to Causeway Work Centre to explore its potential for job creation and training.
From 2012 to 2015 we delivered Ottawa's community-based bike share service with our signature fleet of refurbished purple bikes. Over that time, the program spread from three hubs in one neighborhood to 18 hubs in 12 neighborhoods.
While our services have changed and evolved since we started out, our mission has stayed the same. So far, we have trained and employed over 50 members of the community who are working to overcome barriers to employment.
For more than 80 years, United Way Ottawa has been working to make our city great for everyone. As well as our research and advocacy work, we invest in the most effective local programs to create opportunities and change lives forever. We have been supported by United Way Ottawa since 2014.
EnviroCentre brings environmental change to life by offering people, organizations and communities across Ottawa and the province practical solutions to lighten their environmental impact in lasting ways. EnviroCentre is providing space for our pop-up bike shop at 366 Rideau Street for the 2017 season.
The Safer Roads Ottawa Program is a leading community partnership committed to preventing or eliminating road deaths and serious injuries for all people in the City of Ottawa. We work with Safer Roads to deliver free bike tune-up events at City Hall and in neighbourhoods across Ottawa.
